TUNNELTON — Kathryn May (Eads) Phillips, 60, of Tunnelton, passed away on Wednesday, May 17 at Preston Memorial Hospital with family by her side.
She was born on May 18, 1962, in Charleston, daughter of the late James Norman Eads Sr. and Goldie Josephine Boggess Eads.
Kathryn loved playing games, gardening, going to the beach and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Richard Allan Phillips in Tunnelton; five children, James Allen Williams and Pamela, South Carolina, Ronald Keith Whaples, Charleston, Jonathan Wayne Williams, Illinois, Richard Phillips Jr., Tunnelton and Amand Phillips, Illinois; 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews; her siblings, Christine (Eads) Rose and James Norman Eads Jr., both of Poca and Jennie (Eads) Wallace, Chesapeake; three brothers-in-law, Rodney Niles Phillips Jr. and Wanda, Redfield, Ark., James Ernest Phillips and Cindy, Virginia and Donald Harlen Phillips, Illinois; and one sister-in-law, Roxann K. Shipley and Joseph, Morgantown, Ind.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Joseph Eads; father and mother-in-law, Rev. Rodney Niles Phillips Sr. and Dolores Luvern Phillips; and her four-legged companion Darth Vader Phillips.
