Dear Editor:
The Reflection House was overwhelmed by the generosity of spirit we experienced this past Saturday during our first annual Walk for Recovery at Deep Creek Lake State Park.
We so appreciated all the wonderful Garrett and Allegany County friends and families who walked with us in the rain, participated with us in learning about recovery for women with substance use disorder and are helping us to bring it to Garrett County by their support and enthusiasm. We feel blessed by all these new friends and supporters we met.
We also feel fortunate with the financial generosity of the people, churches and organizations in Garrett County who contributed so much to our cause. We were overwhelmed. We will be acknowledging these gifts once we have received all of them, since they are still coming in.
We acknowledge those who helped us with their skills and resources to make our message heard. We appreciate The Republican and Brenda Ruggiero for their sincere interest in our cause and their stories about our program. We wish to thank WKHJ-FM Radio and its staff for their programming, “A Closer Look,” about us. We also thank the Garrett County Health Department and its employees for their generous support not only at this event, but continuously to make sure this necessary resource becomes a reality.
We wish to acknowledge the wonderful cooperation and assistance we received from Deep Creek Lake State Park and its staff, who were incredible. The Garrett County Road Department is to be thanked for their signage and traffic control devices. The presence of the Garrett County Resource Team was much appreciated if for no other reason than the peace of mind they provided being there. Lastly, we are always thankful to have the Dove Center and Heather Hanline with us, especially since we share common goals.
It goes without saying we are, and will always be, indebted to our volunteers too numerous to list, but without whom we would not be able to write this letter. To each of you, an awesome and heartfelt thank you!

Reflection House
