In a state that has been riddled by the opioid epidemic, efforts are making inroads into restoring hope for the future through programs aimed at helping the next generation not only handle the fallout from the epidemic, but also gain the ability to avoid another.

GameChanger, billed as a student-powered substance misuse prevention movement, has begun connecting West Virginia students, K-12, with programming designed by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
