The Calvary Christian Academy - Garrett Campus (CCAGC) will present a talent show at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday, May 19 at the Cherry Glade Mennonite Church.
A roast beef dinner will be served from 3-7 p.m. Take-out orders will be available until 8:30 p.m. The menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes, vegetables, fruit, coleslaw, roll and cupcakes. Payment is by donation. Guests may also shop for books featuring family-friendly Christian titles.
The Lego Club will meet at the Grantsville Library at 5 p.m. May 22 for an hour of free building based on a new theme each month. Completed builds may be displayed in the library for others to enjoy. This program is designed for age 4 and up. Registration is not required.

Grantsville’s annual Memorial Day Celebration, commemorating the lives of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, will be held May 29. The parade will leave the Grantsville American Legion Post 214 at 10:45 a.m. and will follow Miller Street to the Veterans Memorial at the Town Park, where there will be a ceremony including the Northern JROTC, the Northern High School Band and a keynote speaker.
The program will be followed by a free picnic in the park sponsored by area businesses, and activities will include live music and Friendly’s Inflatables.
The annual Grantsville National Road Festival began Wednesday and continues through Saturday, May 20. Events on May 20 include the National and Town-wide Yard Sale, which begins at 8 a.m. The Mountain Top Cruisers Car Show will be held on the gravel lot beside Car Quest in Grantsville starting at noon. Events at the town park include outdoor games, food trucks all day and the Grantsville Lions Club chicken. Music will begin at 1 p.m., and the Northern High School Drama Club will present historic monologues at 3 p.m.
The Swanton Otterbein United Methodist Church will host a yard sale, beginning at 9 a.m. May 18. There will be books, crockery, clothing and more. For more information, call Jean at 301-387-6370.
