NC State volleyball took down Syracuse 3-1 in its final match of the 2022 season.

The NC State women's soccer team drawed 1-1 with Syracuse in its final match of the 2022 regular season. Senior forward Jameese Joseph played a big part, scoring the equalizing goal in the 70th minute of the match. 

The NC State softball team beat the Syracuse Orange 8-2 on Friday, March 4, opening up ACC play with an impressive win in Dail Softball Stadium.

Coming off a huge victory over Boston College, NC State returned to PNC Arena on Tuesday, Feb. 9, falling 77-68 in its second loss to Syracuse this season.

The Orange previously defeated the Wolfpack on the last day of January in a rough, three-point loss, in which the Pack was outscored 38-26 in the second half.

The NC State Wolfpack (4-2, 1-1 ACC) followed up a disappointing showing in Tallahassee with another impressive defensive showing that led to a satisfying win over the Syracuse Orange (3-3, 0-2 ACC). While the defense played exceedingly well once again, the offense only put up 16 points and just one touchdown and had many drives shut down, especially in the first quarter. NC State squeaked past Syracuse in an ugly 16-10 victory last Thursday. With the Wolfpack’s first Power Five victory of the year, NC State improved to 4-2 on the year and is now in the middle of the pack in the Atlantic at No. 3. Here are some takeaways from the game:

The NC State football team will play its last Thursday night home game of the season Oct. 10, when it faces Syracuse in Carter-Finley Stadium at 8 p.m. for Military Appreciation Day.
