For the first time this season, the NC State swimming and diving team competed at home in the Casey Aquatic Center Saturday morning, dominating UNC-Chapel Hill 197-97 in the women’s competition and 193-101 in the men’s competition.

With men’s and women’s basketball coming to an end this week, a large portion of the NCAA spring championship slate has drawn to a close and honors and awards are being handed out to players and coaches.

For the third straight season, the NC State men’s swimming and diving team finished fourth at the NCAA Championships, with senior Anton Ipsen, junior Andreas Vazaios and the 400-yard freestyle relay team all capturing individual national championships on the final day of competition Saturday in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Through two days of competition at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the NC State men’s swimming and diving team sits in second place as a team with 165 points, just four back of Indiana in the lead, and has captured one individual event title.

Coming off its fourth straight ACC title, the NC State men’s swimming and diving heads to Minneapolis this week in search of the program’s first national championship and the school’s first NCAA championship since an improbable Cinderella run by the 1983 men’s basketball team. The meet kicks off Wednesday and will conclude Saturday.

For the fourth straight year, the NC State men’s swimming and diving team is bringing home an ACC title. The Pack dominated the ACC Championships from start to finish this week in Greensboro, winning 14 of the 18 swimming events to win the program’s 28th conference title.

The NC State swimming and diving team will head down the road to Chapel Hill and Durham this weekend for the 2018 Janis Hape Dowd Carolina College Nike Invitational, hosted by in-state rivals UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke.

The NC State men’s swimming and diving team continued on its flawless dual season, while the Wolfpack women got back to their winning ways on the road against rival UNC-Chapel Hill Friday night in the Koury Natatorium.

It was a split decision for the NC State swimming and diving team Friday afternoon in Charlottesville, Virginia, as the Wolfpack men came away with a dominant victory over Virginia, while the NC State women couldn’t top their ACC foes.
