After a month-long postponement due to inclement weather, the first annual March Like Martin closed out Black History Month on Feb. 25. The march commemorated Martin Luther King Jr’s practice of peaceful protest with a reminder that change is made through continuous action.

After beginning the season on a surprising note, the Charlotte Hornets have started to dip into what many expected from the team entering the season. The team now stands at 16-35, good for 12th place in the Eastern Conference, ahead of only the New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite being in the middle of a four-game losing streak, and losing nine of their last 10 games, the Hornets did not make a move at the 2020 trade deadline that passed on Feb. 6.

Redshirt freshman Manny Bates missed the entirety of what would have been his true freshman season last year after a shoulder injury forced him to redshirt. Last year’s Wolfpack men’s basketball team went 24-12 in the regular season, but was kept out of the NCAA Tournament after only recording a 9-9 record in ACC play. Bates is hoping to right the ship, and return the Wolfpack to the NCAA Tournament this season and beyond.
